A love for vintage glass began in a small cabin in New Jersey.
It began with green depression glass.
I grew up surrounded by green depression glass in our family cabin. I was captivated by how it caught the light — delicate, detailed, and full of quiet history.
When we sold the cabin, my mother kept every piece. Years later, after moving to Connecticut, I began searching antique shops and flea markets to build a collection of my own.
Heirlooms, Reimagined
When my husband and I inherited glassware from his grandmothers, I realized these weren’t just beautiful objects — they were heirlooms. Nearly every piece came with a story: a wedding gift, a holiday table, a memory shared.
As I began sourcing glassware from families, I heard those same words again and again: “This was my grandmother’s.” “This was a wedding gift.”
Many were hesitant to part with them — until they knew the pieces would be used again, styled again, and loved again.
Where the Story Became a Calling
In 2025, while styling my daughter’s baby shower using my collection, the idea became clear. These pieces deserved more than storage cabinets. They deserved tables, celebrations, and new stories. The Vintage Tableware Company was born from that belief.
